New Fiat Ducato Facelift Now Available

Are you on the market for commercial vehicles for your company? If so, you might be interested in the new Fiat Ducato. The latest model has had a facelift for 2020 and it’s worth noting some of the fresh features of this vehicle. Is it the right choice for you?

It’s Going Electric

This is perhaps the most important aspect of the new model. It will come onto the market with a brand new fully electric powertrain, exclusive for Europe. If you haven’t thought about going electric just yet, there’s a lot of benefits. You can save on fuel, go green and cut costs with a vehicle that requires less maintenance.

This will be the launching EV for Fiat Professional. The working vehicle division hasn't yet dipped their toes into the electric vehicle market but you can bet this is just the start. It’s worth noting that you won’t be able to get the electric version of this one immediately. Instead, it will be delivered to ‘major clients’ through Europe in a testing phase. The fleets who are part of this group can already pre-order it for 2020.

Be aware that there’s not much technical info on the electric engine just yet.

Will Performance Change?

You might be worried that the new focus on EV will mean a change to the load capacity or performance. Well, you will be pleased to learn that that’s not the case and the producer has ensured that there will not be any compromises in these areas. So, if you’re already relying on the Ducato in your business, you don’t need to think about switching just yet.

How Much Will It Cost?

Not including VAT, the new vehicle will cost £24,670 when it launches next year. That’s if you opt for the cheapest trim. Be aware that this will be for the 2.3 diesel engine variant of this vehicle which does match Euro 6D emissions requirements. So, you’re still getting a green-friendly machine.

Exterior Changes

Yes, the exterior of the vehicle is changing too. The vehicle is getting a fresh front grille as well as cladding. Fiat says that this cladding will be put around sensitive areas of the vehicle however they have not explicitly stated what these are just yet.

The new vehicle will provide three different modes for driving. These are available regardless of which of the four types of engine you choose. This includes eco, normal and power. For additional fuel saving the all new Fiat Ducato will also arrive with an EcoPack. This includes a smart alternator as well as a Start & Stop system.
