Subaru Outbreak Reviews

Subaru Outback Reviews

Do you like the look of the ultimate Subaru estate, with added crossover flair? Then you probably want to know what other people thought of it too. Thankfully the new Outback has collected a range of awards and exceptional reviews form some of the industries leading authorities.

As the bestselling all-wheel drive vehicle in its class over the last 10 years, the Outback estate does particularly well in some of the most important reviews – long-term test drives. These are where a car has been driven over an extended period of time. In particular, AutoExpress loved the "no-nonsense approach and clever engineering", ranking the Outback crossover 4 out of 5 stars.

If you like practicality, then you’re going to love TopGear’s description of this versatile Subaru as a "likeable Swiss Army knife". They too thought it deserved an impressive 8/10 verdict. Need further convincing? Parkers, known in the industry for how accurate and honest their reviews are, ranked this model a deserving 4/5, saying "The Subaru Outback is now in its fifth generation and has really come of age – and for those looking for a capable semi off-road estate with bags of character, this is well worth considering. It represents a genuinely strong proposition in a growing sector of the UK car market."

How safe is a Subaru Outback?

The Subaru Outback estate has a range of safety features as long as your arm. Even better, the full selection of safety and security features comes as standard on both models in the range, as we believe your safety should be paramount with any new vehicle purchase.

You benefit from some really exciting safety equipment in the 2020 Subaru Outback, such as Subaru’s impressive Eyesight technology. This kit includes adaptive cruise control, pre-collision breaking, lane departure technology and much more. And whilst you’ll always feel like you’re the one in charge of the vehicle, it’s excellent to have such a helping hand there to keep you safe.

The new Outback also features rear vehicle detection (the well-known SRVC system), and all the tech you’d expect from any quality manufacturer – such as full air bag options, cameras, ABS and much more.

My experience at Ian Grieve was positive because our salesperson, David, proved to be knowledgeable, personable and very helpful. No giving nonsense. We were planning to go and see another car before making our decision and David was friendly, honest and not pushy at all which we found endearing. He also offered us another alternative car that had zero road tax and after thinking about it we just came back for this option without visiting the other dealer. He also explained clearly all the steps to complete the purchase and had the car ready within hours which was a godsend as I needed it for work. AAA to him.

Really satisfied with the sales service from Ian Grieves especially the rep David Driver during the lockdown. Appreciate the team facilitating the test drive of my vehicle Part Exchange was smooth. One negative experience however was that my car came with only one functioning Day Time Light. I only noticed this after 5 days of my purchase, now I have to pay over £100 to have a DRL fitted. I thought the garage should have provided a replace DRL bulb for free. Otherwise the team at Ian Grieves have been great.

I would recommend Ian Grieve to friends and family because great car, great price, great service

My experience at Ian Grieve was memorable because the salesman understood what I was after right from the start and did everything to meet my requirements and expectations. I was only shown vehicles that met my requirements and price range. There was a good choice due to the volume of turnover at this dealer. Car was immaculate when picked up and the social distancing measures were very well thought out.

I was happy with the service at Ian Grieve because they made me feel special and guided me through the whole process Robert was professional at all times very easy to talk to and we did not feel pressured at all he went to great lengths in helping us obtain the service history of the car we traded in First class

Ian Grieve were fantastic because they were completely professionally and extremely friendly. Everything was sorted ina timely manner.

I'd definitely recommend Ian Grieve to friends and family because friendly staff no pressure to buy

My experience at Ian Grieve was cracking because it had the feeling of a family firm and complete honesty ...no pressure to buy: just support from a happy team.

I was happy with the service at Ian Grieve because they couldn’t be more helpful made sure I was happy with what I was getting and I absolutely love my new car

I'd recommend Ian Grieve because resolved issues with my original car and after negotiation traded desiel model for petrol. I am now very satisfied with the performance of my car.

I'd recommend Ian Grieve because I found them to be very professional and so far I’m happy with the vehicle I purchased

David Benwell at Ian Grieve was a pleasure to deal with. Under the very difficult times due to local restrictions we completed the sale totally remotely, based on trust because of earlier dealings with him, our previous Outback in 2016. We live 120 miles away but return to Ian Grieve because their attitude in dealing with customers is so much better than my experience with local dealers - I have had various Subaru models continuously for more than 20 years and have seen the extremes of dealerships!

I have already recommended Ian Grieve to a friend who is looking for a car after passing their driving test as we had a very good experience there and love our new car.

Positive points, upfront sales no info hidden any questions answered. Nice clean car handed over in a timely manner as expected. Negatives, driver's windscreen wiper came off in my hand, consumable so didn't contact them. Everything else has been good.

My experience at Ian Grieve was memorable because I didn’t feel pressured by salesman. Everyone friendly , accommodating and happy to answer my questions

Rob was brilliant and sorted me out with a new Jeep Renegade. The Ian Grieve garage is 70 miles from my house but I decided to go here to find a new Jeep. Service from start to finish was excellent and I'd be happy to recommend.

Iwould recommend Ian Grieve to friends and family because the salesman was very attentive and friendly but not pushy.

Thanks to Robert Spalding the trade-in and purchase was quick and painless. Robert was very helpful and knowledgeable and even came in an hour early on a Sunday to allow me to test drive the Suzuki. I would strongly suggest to anyone looking for a car to check out Ian Grieve first.

My experience at Ian Grieve was cracking because very helpful and understanding service. No pressure experience.

I'd recommend Ian Grieve to a friend because from the 1st phone call everything was carried out professionally, friendly and without any pressure. They did all the things they said they would do. I live on an island, at the time getting ferry bookings was very difficult - over 2 weeks timescale - and at no point was that an issue. Robert Spalding deserves praise for his efficient and friendly handling of the transaction.

Ian Grieve were fantastic because from my initial emails then lengthy telephone calls with Gavin and various cars I was looking at I decided in one on particular range the next day reserved it and drove up 2 hours car was ready for test drive and came back and we discussed various alternatives before deciding in the new vitara people buy off people and gavin was a human and not a pressure salesman price was agreed quickly and paid for ,collected a few days later and even put my plates on for photos of my old car and new one together for my photos great service from a fellow petrolhead would recommend 100% such a pleasant buying experience

I would recommend Ian Grieve to friends and family because of the attitude and knowledge of salesperson Gavin Fraser. The best attitude and friendly approach of any car salesperson I have ever dealt with.

Ian Grieve were great because. I saw a car on auto trader that they were selling, agreed to buy it and despite the fact I was coming from London to purchase the vehicle they made the whole experience a pleasure and even went to the added effort of booking a minicab to pick me up from the train station to ensure I could get to the dealership to pick up the car with minimal inconvenience and ensuring social distancing rules were abided by. In addition knowing the distance I was travelling they ensured that I had a full tank of fuel and that the car was handed over looking immaculate.

Ian Grieve were great.

I'd recommend Ian Grieve because on this occasion the car was well prepared and as previously David Driver was excellent. Trade in a little low, but overall deal was fair. Would go back.

I was pleased with Ian Grieve and would recommend them because the salesman was excellent -David Driver. Unfortunately the prep for my vehicle was poor, brake callipers pins rattling, torn calliper seals on both front wheels, leaking brake light soaking the load area. I have still to go back on the callipers themselves as these are needing replaced, This should all have been fone ore delivery, particularly when we were buying two vehicles.

Ian Grieve were fantastic because the salesman was very pleasant to deal with and absolutely no pressure selling which was great

The staff at Ian Grieve were good because very polite and friendly sales man David Driver explain everything to me so I understood exactly what he was telling me and took time to show me exactly how everything worked on sat nav and fuel economy

My experience at Ian Grieve was positive because the salesman Gavin was attentive and treated me with respect gave me loads of advice on what would be best car to suit my needs. Quick service and affordable care package.

Ian Grieve staff were good because they went out of their way to meet my needs, found my new car
