The company was established in 1991 by the founder Ian Grieve, who is still involved in the business but today the company is run by his two sons Alastair and Adam.

At Ian Grieve we believe in the TLC approach as opposed to the PLC approach of big dealer groups, by this we mean that we believe in treating customers the way we would like to be treated ourselves. Our aim is to look after you and make sure you keep coming back.

Ian Grieve sourced a vehicle for me that fitted the bill well. Our local dealer in Devon wasn't able to do this.The sales front man at Ian Grieve, James, was efficient without being pushy. I flew from Devon to Falkirk to collect the car and was collected at the airport -- all pretty efficient. The vehicle handover was a bit rushed but otherwise things were good. There are a couple of minor issues with the car (split door seal, a scuff in the plastic that had presumably been filled by the Subaru ex-mgt car pdi gang). The excellent local dealer in Devon is going to replace the door seal. The car took ages to get out of Subaru / IM's hands and into the dealer -- this was driving me and James nuts....and surely they could have made a better job of the scuffed trim in this time. The job they did was cosmetically fine but not tough enough.

It is said that people buy from people and I will walk away if I don't like a sales person's attitude. Working on that premise, David is a real asset to the company.
